Rookie defenseman Tomas Kundratek collected his first NHL point, an assist, on Johansson’s goal.

Spreading the wealth – 17 different skaters have tallied points for the Capitals this season while 12 players have scored goals for the Capitals through the first 10 games. Six of the nine Capitals defenseman to have appeared in games this season have tallied points this season.

Ribeiro on a roll – Mike Ribeiro scored a goal on Tuesday against Toronto, giving him 11 points this season. He leads Washington in assists and points and has recorded four multi-point games this season. He tallied 13 multi-point games last season. Including his two points Sunday, Ribeiro has recorded 22 points (seven goals, 15 assists) in 19 career games against Pittsburgh.

Plenty of punch – Since the 2005-06 season, only 15 players have recorded a 100 point season. Four of those players are expected to suit up today with Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby leading all players in that span with four 100-point seasons.
