Today’s Storyline
The Washington Capitals kicked off a three-game road trip last night with a 6-5 overtime win in Florida. The victory was Washington’s first road win of the season and the team’s first overtime victory as well.

Several players had multi-point games, including Mike Ribeiro (1g-2a), Alex Ovechkin (1g-1a), Eric Fehr (1g-1a), Nicklas Backstrom (2a) and Joel Ward (2a). The Capitals power play continued its streak, going 2-3 with the man advantage and pushing Washington’s streak of games with a power-play goal to five consecutive contests.
