Today’s Storyline

The Washington Capitals will practice today at Kettler Capitals Iceplex at 11:30 a.m.  

The 2012-13 NHL Trade Deadline is today at 3:00 p.m. ET.

NHL clubs made 16 trades involving 32 players on the day of the Trade Deadline in 2011-12.

Since the 1979-80 season, the record for the most trades on the day of the Trade Deadline is 31 (2009-10).

Of the Capitals current roster, four players were acquired via trade, including Troy Brouwer, Jason Chimera, Brooks Laich and Mike Ribeiro.
