Today's Storyline

The Washington Capitals will face the Montreal Canadiens in Montreal for the first time this season.

Alex Ovechkin scored his 24th goal of the season and added an empty net goal, his 25th of the year, on April 7 vs. Tampa Bay and has now recorded 16g-7a in his last 14 games. Ovechkin currently ranks tied for first in the league in goals (Stamkos) and was named the NHL’s “First Star” of the Week for the week ending April 7. Ovechkin earned “First Star” honors for the second time in the last three weeks.
