Today’s Storyline

The Washington Capitals will hold an optional practice today at 12 p.m. at Kettler Capitals Iceplex.

Washington extended its season-high winning streak to five games with a 3-2 win in Montreal last night against the Canadiens. Jack Hillen tallied a goal, his first as a Capital, and an assist last night as Alex Ovechkin scored his 26th goal of the season (tied for the league lead) in the victory.

With the victory, the Capitals maintain a two-point lead over the Winnipeg Jets for first place in the Southeast Division and have now hone 7-0-1 in their last eight road games.
