Posted on April 19, 2013

The Washington Capitals will practice at 1 p.m. today at Bell Centre in Montreal.

Several Capitals prospects are wrapping up their seasons while a handful are still competing in their respective league playoffs.

Tom Wilson and Connor Carrick (Plymouth Whalers) will open the OHL 2013 Rogers Western Conference final tonight in London against the Knights. Plymouth swept Sarnia in four games in the first round before defeating Owen Sound in the second round four games to two.

Wilson ranks tied for sixth on the team with nine points (three goals, six assists) despite playing in just seven of the team’s 10 games due to injury. Carrick leads Plymouth defensemen in points (11) and leads the team with a plus-14 rating.

Evgeny Kuznetsov and Traktor Chelyabinsk fell to Dynamo Moscow in the Gagarin Cup final, 4-2. Kuznetsov tallied five goals and six assists in his 25 KHL playoff games.
