Posted on September 27, 2013 by Caps PR

The Capitals conclude their home preseason schedule tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers. Tonight will mark the second time the teams have met this preseason, as Washington defeated the Flyers 4-3 (SO) in Philadelphia on Sept. 16.

Captain Alex Ovechkin leads the team with two power-play goals this preseason, as Washington has registered a power-play goal in five of its six games. Ovechkin led the NHL in power-play goals last season (16), while Washington went 44-for-164 (26.8%) on the power play in 2012-13, ranking first in the NHL.
